Vincent dating someone from SCD audience

Vincent Simone is back in love and happier than ever - after waltzing off with a sexy woman from the audience.

The Strictly Come Dancing lovegod last night revealed how his Northern Irish beauty, an air stewardess known only as Susan, has stolen his heart.

Latino star Vincent, who teams up with Rachel Stevens on the hit BBC1 show, is now loving life again and back to his cha-cha-charming self.

In an emotional heart-to-heart, he told The People how: -fate helped him meet Susan when she came to a show.

-He's been wooing her with romantic nights watching Dirty Dancing.

-She's jealous of Rachel - but he only has eyes for her; and -They are planning a joint holiday with Rachel and her fiance Alex Bourne.

Vincent, 29, said: "Susan's an amazing girl. She's sweet and I know she loves me more than anything.

"It's so nice to be loved again and know there's someone who will really take care of me."

The rumba-loving Romeo met his new love at the end of the last series, during which girlfriend of 11 years Flavia Cacace left him for dance partner Matt di Angelo.

But it wasn't until after the UK tour in March that he made his first move.

The pair have been seeing each other since, but so far he has been keen to keep her out of the public eye.

Even now, he won't reveal her surname in case it affects her career. But he can't help recalling how he swept the brunette off her feet.

He said: "She got tickets to watch the show. I was on the way to the bar when she stopped me and asked me for directions.

"She was gorgeous, so I was doing a little flirting. Then I saw her later in the bar.

"We chatted and discovered we're on the same wavelength.

"I was so busy until the end of the tour, but then I called her and asked her out. I tried to be romantic. I took her to see Dirty Dancing at the theatre. It's my favourite."

Since then, things have taken off for Vincent and 36-year-old Susan-except for her occasional jealousy over her boyfriend's wandering hands.

He laughed: "She gets super jealous of anyone I dance with, not just Rachel.

"But when the show started I sat her down and we had a long conversation.

"I explained that if we're doing a rumba, the dance of love, of course I'll be over Rachel like an Italian rash. But I tell her, 'Don't even watch it. It's not real'.

"I said, 'I'll dance the rumba with Rachel the same way I'll dance it with your mum'. It's difficult being in a relationship when you are doing something like this.

It's like being an actor when you have to kiss someone or pretend to sleep with them. It's all an act.

"But then again, maybe it should be me laying down the ground rules. She travels with lots of celebrities and was showing me pictures of her sitting on Lionel Richie's lap." But as he swings his leather jacket over his shoulder and puts on his shades, this self-confessed flirt clearly is too loved-up to be really concerned - despite being hurt in the past. Indeed, he's already planning the holiday for him, Susan, Rachel, below, and Alex.

He said: "We're going to Argentina - as I'm king of the Argentine Tango. It should be really fun."

Otherwise, he's keen to keep Susan and dancing separate.

"She used to be a gymnast so she's got the rhythm and coordination but I've never tried to teach her dance," he revealed.

"I want to keep the two worlds separate, so we can have a private life.

"When you are with dancers, you always end up talking about dancing. Susan and I talk about and do other stuff. I've been lucky to find someone like her in such a short time.

"After Flavia, I was single and I didn't really enjoy that time to be honest.

"Susan loves me so much. It's a shame we don't get much time together, though. In a way it would have been perfect if we'd met in a few years when my life has calmed down, but I am really happy."

Vincent is also thrilled he's landed a great partner in Rachel, so he could bounce back this series.

He explained: "Last year, with everything, wasn't my best, so it's nice to be back and erase all that.

"And Rachel is my dream partner. I'd always wanted a singer, and someone small I could lift up and throw around a bit. She's very sweet and lovable, we hug all the time and we've not had an argument so far. I call her Little Popcorn or Little Tortellini."

With a wink, Vincent added: "I love being known as the flirt.

"It comes naturally to me."

But Rachel's boyfriend need not worry.

He and Vincent are planning a male bonding night and the dancer is choreographing the first dance for the couple's secret wedding day.

He said. "Alex is an actor, he knows it's a bit of fun. And Rachel loves it. She flirts as well. If I don't flirt with her she asks for it."

Vincent wants to enjoy the limelight on Strictly for years to come.

He smiled: "At first I was like a fish out of water. But I love the whole experience, the cameras, the TV. I send a DVD to my family in Italy every week. Strictly is the pinnacle for me. I won't quit. I would be happy out there dancing when I'm 60. I feel down when the cameras aren't on me."

This love of dance explains why he can still work with his ex Flavia.

The pair do shows and lessons around the country together.

Vincent said: "I wouldn't want to dance with anyone else. We look so good together, we fit together perfectly.

"It's difficult, of course. But that shows how professional we are and how much we really love dancing. And that's what comes first. Dancing is my real wife."

Asked if he has told Susan that, he laughed: "Yes, she knows. She knows this life is going to be crazy. But it's fun."
