Cherie Blair turned down Strictly Come Dancing on the basis it would have been too "unseemly". Thats rich coming from the woman who waltzed down the aisles of an Australian store grabbing freebies. It has also been reported that John Sergeant was in fact second choice as the bumbling dancer for Strictly, John Prescott was approached, but turned it down. The BBC then asked John Sergeant and the rest as they say is history.
