Austin's hungry for the dance

Austin and Erin began their session working on the Salsa, and Austin was really getting into the swing of things!

He confidently stated; "I was worried about the Salsa, but now I love it!" While adding various thrills and spills to his moves, Erin slapped him on the rear and labelled him a "show off!"

Before starting work on their American Smooth routine, Austin reflected on his struggle so far with that particular dance. He admitted that he was actually finding it rather tricky, but that this hasn't ruined his excitement at finally getting to do it on the show. He then made a surprising admission about his 'guns', saying: "I'm not as strong as I used to be, and seeing the other dancers I realise the lifts are more about technique than brute strength. I need to be very smooth and elegant."

As they continued their training Erin felt that the long hours might be getting to Austin, and she told him that he looked tired and was quieter than he had been earlier that day. Austin admitted, as their training was finishing at 10pm, that: "it's a vicious circle, I want to learn and train more but I'm not taking it in at the moment because I'm so tired." However, he added: "my hunger to do well is still there" and he is now making plans to limit his fatigue, if he gets through this weekend's quarter-finals.
