Review by Livi Cooper of Jill Halfpenny in Chicago (15th February)
I went to see Chicago on 5th Feb this year. The tension was amazing as I waited to see if Jill would be in it -I was so worried it would be her night off! As I am only 12, seeing Jill was an amazing experience. An extra bonus was that Michael French was in it too, known for playing Dr. Gilder in Born and Bred. When I realised it was Jill I really couldn't believe my luck. On the Christmas Special of Strictly Come Dancing, when Brucie congratulated Jill on Chicago I thought, God I wish I was going! I kept hinting to my parents and they got really annoyed with me - but believe me...IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!! The part where Jill was acting as a ragdoll and miming the words that Billy Flynn (Michael French) was singing was hilarious, by far the best part of the show! I really recommend you to go and see it. Even though I was on the second to back row in the Upper Circle the view was still fabulous. I was so sad when it was over!
Remember though, Jill's run ends in May, so get booking those tickets!!!!!
