Jessie talks about her surprise at being in the final four
We caught up with Jessie to talk about last week's show and how she plans to tackle the semi-finals.
After some disappointing comments of Saturday, are you surprised to be in the semi-finals?
'I was on that plane back to Ireland in my eyes. I felt I'd lost the panels excitement in my performances and I need to go back and give it some of that Buckley bite. I think I didn't give it as much as I should have and I think sometimes I tend to panic and pull back on my emotion.'
'I have absolutely no idea how I managed to scrape into the semi-final. For some reason the public are seeing me as Nancy and thank god, because the panel are not seeing it as strongly.'
What do you think of the standard of competition going into next week's show?
'Sam has a range like nobody I've ever met. For a girl her age, she's extremely strong, an excellent mover and she has that sexy quality that Nancy needs. Rachel is a complete professional. Every night on stage she just churns it out and she's consistent, she's passionate, and she has the edginess of Nancy. Jodie is the fun loving girl who'd get up in a bar as Nancy and have everyone singing Oom-pah-pah. She's an amazing singer and an amazing mover.'
What special qualities do you have that make you right for this role?
'I think I am one of the only girls who has that natural rawness. I'm a girl who literally just came in from working as a waitress, queued up for an experience and now I'm in the final four and I know I have it in me.'
