Rehearsals are already under way at Serbia's Beogradska Arena, as the participants limber up ahead of next week's first semi-final.
Day one of the packed rehearsal schedule began in earnest on Sunday with Montenegro's Stefan Filipovic delivering a confident performance of Zauvijek Voilm Te in front of the assembled members of the press and Eurovision super-fans in the arena, flanked by dancers caressing his face with red gloved hands.
On a slightly less sultry note, the reports are that Estonia's three-man comedy troupe - minus member Tarmo - gave a winning version of their song Leto Svet (Summer Nights), with, you'll be pleased to hear, only minor changes to the performance that won them the national finals. As well as vegetable placards and a smoking accordion, the backing dancers will be waving Serbian as well as Estonian, German and Finnish flags to complete the multi-national favour.
Elsewhere, Moldova's Geta Burlacu unveiled a big white sofa as the centre-piece of her smoky performance of A Century of Love , while plucky San Marino first-timers Miodo shone with a rocking Complice.
The spectacle was provided by Azerbaijan's angel and devil singing duo Elnur and Samir with pyrotechnics, full gothic costumes and - by way of a climax to their song Day After Day - a disintegrating throne, while apparently former Miss Slovenia Rebeka Dremelj struggled to emerge from a cage with her male dancers, the focal point to her song Vrag Naj Vzame.
And that was just day one, today sees the rest of the first semi-finalists finding their feet on the Beogradska Arena stage, including Dustin the Turkey complete with - we're told - accompanying shopping trolley and that ice dancing spectacle from Russia's Dima Bilan that we've all been waiting for.
