Ashley was the seventh Nancy to leave.

The quarter-final is looming, but not everyone will make it through. Before we found out who'd be saying goodbye, the Nancys pulled on their evening dresses each to give a sulty rendition of Nobody Does It Better, from Bond movie the Spy Who Loved Me. Keeping up the Ian Fleming theme, the Olivers sang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, from the musical of the same name, choosing Niamh to perform it with them.

This week, the pair with the fewest votes were Ashley and Niamh, who had the daunting task of singing a song close to Andrew's heart - Don't Cry For Me, Argentina, from the musical Evita. Which Nancy's performance would impress the Lord enough to step in and save her?

"I've said Niamh is a little young for this, and I was very hard on you, Ashley," mused Andrew. But the crunch had to come. "In the end, I've got to save Niamh."

"I do want to say that you are a fantastic talent, but you don't communicate it on stage," he explained to Ashley, adding that he he would love to work with her one day, and that her drama students "should be very proud."

"I didn't loose my identity throughout the whole thing," said Ashley. "I still stayed me, kept professional and I did the best job I could, which is good enough for me!"

So, it's quarter-final next week, and the remaining five Nancys need your votes. Don't miss next Saturday's live show on BBC1, 7.45pm, when they'll sing for survival once again.
