Ashley proved she's a lover and a fighter and joker this week
Ashley was happy with the comments she received from the experts this week, and feels even Andrew is warming to her.
'I think last week I got to show them that I'm an actress and I took on a different character. In the show Nancy refers to herself as an actress and I believe this girl's got a deck of cards and she just deals with whatever situation. If she needs to be a bit younger and naughty she can do that. Likewise, if she needs to be bit rougher she can do that. I think I showed a bit of that.'
'The girls call me joker Nancy. I'm glad that's finally coming across to the panel. It's good because Nancy sings As Long As He Needs Me, but she entertains the boys, she makes them laugh. It's just as important as singing from the heart. It's what keeps her and everyone else going.'
So, what is her plan for this week?
'Just keep working hard. The minute you stop working it doesn't work. You need to keep focussed but keep up fun as well.'
One of the things she feels she has going for her is the fact she just doesn't compare to the other Nancys left in the competition.
'I can't compare myself to anyone else because I don't think I'm like anyone else. I'm not the young sexy one. I'm not the older one. All I can do is be and be honest, do what I do and enjoy.'
'I'm putting everything on the line, heart and souls. This is what I want and what I want to be. There's nowhere else I'd want to be than be on stage as Nancy.'
