Philip Schofield and Fern Britton joked yesterday they could get the sack - because they're too tired to concentrate on their daytime TV show, This Morning
Fern, who has been hosting the show for nine years, and Phil, who has been with her for six of them, have been run ragged filming their new ITV gameshow Mr & Mrs in recent weeks.
Rehearsals are in the afternoon, then the quiz is filmed at night - giving them hardly any rest.
To make matters worse, Phil - 46 today - has just finished a gruelling 10-week stint hosting Dancing On Ice.
The pair collapsed in a fit of giggles on This Morning yesterday, claiming they were "hysterical" due to lack of sleep.
Fern, 50, said: "Oh dear, forgive us...we haven't had a lot of sleep the last couple of days, which is... oh, I'm sacked." She added: "We can't do any more telly - we should stop."
