Linda takes Dan on holiday to USA

Not content with moving her Dancing On Ice partner, Fylde favourite Daniel Whiston into her home, Linda Lusardi has taken her new friend along on the family holiday.

Dan, 31, has just enjoyed a week-long break in Florida with Linda, her husband, actor Sam Kane, 39, and their two children, Lucy 11 and Jack, eight.

Dan, from Poulton, had already moved in with former glamour model Linda at her Hertforshire home as the pair had to train six days a week for the hit ITV1 show.

The skating duo were voted off the series by the judges on February 24, but 49-year-old Linda will not be hanging up her skates just yet.

She and Dan will not only be taking part in the live national Dancing On Ice tour, kicking off in April, but they will also be taking part in the grand final show on Sunday.

And as well as becoming one of the family, Dan seems to have been something of an inspiration to Linda's two children.

The former Pleasure Beach Hot Ice star said: "Jack and Lucy have taken up skati ng lessons now. I get on really well with them both and they have really got wrapped up in Dancing On Ice.

"I practise the lifts with Lucy and she loves it, all the spinning round and stuff.

"Who knows, they could be the next Torville and Dean?"

Ice king Dan said the holiday – which was Linda's idea – was just what the pair needed before getting back into their hectic training schedule once again.

"Linda just surprised me with it. She organised it all, then turned round and told me to get my passport and pack my suitcase because we were going away.

"It was absolutely fantastic, we really relaxed and it was a bit of a break. We just needed that – to go somewhere that didn't have any ice rinks.

"I really am part of the family now and having a brilliant time. They have made me so welcome and looked after me so well. They don't realise it, but I am not planning on leaving."
