Christopher Dean says that when it comes to the final of Dancing On Ice this Sunday, he and partner Jayne Torvill won't show any favouritism.

The ice dance legends have nurtured the three finalists - Chris Fountain, Zaraah Abrahams and Suzanne Shaw - through their training for the ITV1 series, and will continue to back the trio until their final skate-off.

"Jayne and I are always the impartial ones," says Chris. "We've trained with them, choreographed with them and so we see the best in all of them.

"I wouldn't choose, it's like choosing which one of your kids you prefer," he laughs. "Ultimately it's up to the viewing public to decide."

Chris did however say he had been impressed by former Hear'Say star turned musical performer Suzanne, particularly the variety of moves she's displayed, and says she dances with real poise.

Jayne Torvill adds that Coronation Street actress Zaraah has been a real surprise package since she stepped onto the rink at the last minute to replace GMTV presenter Michael Underwood, who broke his ankle early in the competition.

"As the reserve we'd had a couple of sessions with her before the show and she wasn't bad, but she wasn't like, 'wow she's great'. But as she appeared in show three she turned it around and has been getting better and better all the time."
