Kenny and Ola were the ninth couple to be voted out of the competition. Last night our remaining couples each had to perform two dances - a Latin dance and a ballroom dance. Gethin and Camilla and Alesha and Matthew ended up in joint first position on the judges' scoreboard, while Kenny and Ola were in fifth place. After a wealth of star performances including a Latin showcase from our professional dancers, a showdance Waltz from Vincent and Flavia, and of course Kylie Minogue performing her new single, it was time to see who would be facing the dreaded dance-off after the public votes had been counted. Bruce and Tess revealed the names of the couples who were safe, leaving Letitia and Darren and Kenny and Ola to fight for survival. Letitia and Darren danced their Quickstep again, while Kenny and Ola reprised their Foxtrot. With our contestants having done all they could to stay in the competition, the ultimate decision was left to the judges, who voted as follows: Craig: Letitia and Darren Arlene: Letitia and Darren Bruno: Letitia and Darren Len: Letitia and Darren And so Kenny and Ola were the ninth couple to be voted out of the competition. When asked by Bruce if Kenny would continue to dance with Gabby after the show, Kenny joked, "I think she's good enough." He added: "Ola has been the most amazing, she's taken me from an absolute disaster to someone who can dance." Ola was similarly complimentary, saying: "I've loved dancing with Kenny, he's brilliant." Don't forget to tune in on Saturday at 5.45pm for the quarter-final. Source |
