In the New Year, Sony Entertainment Television is banking on another reality show to boost its fluctuating fortunes in the Indian broadcasting space. Come January 14, Sony will launch a 23-week long new dance-based talent show 'Dance Dance' to select India's best dancing couple. It's going to be a one-hour weekly show slotted at 8 pm every Friday. In all, 64 dancing couples in the age group of 16-30 years will participate for the coveted prize.

The team could consist of members from the same or opposite sex also. Sony has promised the final winner an opportunity to feature in a music video besides an exclusive contract worth Rs.20 Lakhs with the company.

Dance Dance is based on a successful Australian dance show 'Strictly Dancing'. The contestants will go through various rounds including folk, item, prop, disco and solo.

The judges including noted choreographers Saroj Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant and Terence Lewis are going to award scores to each couple based on their technique, choreography, musicality, presentation, star quality and charisma.

In the last three rounds, the contestants will be selected by the viewers through mobile and Internet. Jaaved Jaaferi has been roped in to host the show produced by Miditech Pvt. Ltd.
