Gaynor: Chase was a great show
Written by Administrator

Dancing On Ice star Gaynor Faye has said she can't understand why her hit television show The Chase was axed.

The BBC drama, set around a Yorkshire veterinary surgery, was apparently a hit with viewers.

Gaynor co-wrote the show and starred as Anna Williams.

"I really don't know why they only did the two series. It was a really great show and people seemed to love it. We had audiences of four million, and they were really loyal viewers," she said.

"The bosses just didn't want to take it any further, but all the cast would have gone back for more.

"It is a bit of a shock for everyone."

Since filming for The Chase ended Gaynor has been shooting a guest role in Casualty, alongside Life On Mars star Marshall Lancaster.

She said: "It was a very gritty episode of Casualty. It's about something that's quite tough and quite dark. I play Diane, who's quite a fiery businesswoman.

"I went for it because it was such a great script."
