England legend David Seaman revealed he almost missed out on a football career - to become a professional ice skater.
The former goalkeeper is competing in Boxing Day's Strictly Ice Dancing on BBC.
But he has an unfair advantage against the rest of the celebrities - he trained as an ice hockey player when he was younger.
The Sunday Mirror had an exclusive peek at rehearsals for the extravaganza, a twist on hit show Strictly Come Dancing with the same presenter, Bruce Forsyth.
David Seaman said: "It was a close call between ice hockey or football. I'm going to get ribbed something rotten when the lads see me in my sparkly top and tights."
Seaman came into the show at the last minute to replace Gazza, injured during practice - which contestant Jessica Taylor from Liberty X can sympathise with. She said: "My body is covered in bruises from falling over."
Other competitors are EastEnders' Scarlett Johnson, Carol Smillie, Rowland Rivron and Hollyoaks fireman Marcus Patrick.
