Celebrity: Julia Sawalha

Julia is best known as Saffron (Saffy), the frighteningly-sensible daughter of Edina Monsoon in BBC's Absolutely Fabulous.

Sawalha was born in London and into an acting family: her father Nadim is also an actor, while her sister Nadia starred in the soap EastEnders and is now a chat show host.

Trainer: Dima Yeremenko

Dima Yeremenko, MSc, was born in 1970 in Kharkov, Ukraine. He graduated as a dog instructor at the age of 15 and was soon judging championships all over the country. Dima has also worked with wolves and foxes as well as a number of other species from cats to horses, birds and fish.

In 1996, he came to Britain to study for a PhD at Reading University. He founded the Good Boy Dog School in Hampstead, London, in 1996, which has quickly established a reputation as one of the finest in the country. Dima works closely with the RSPCA and Battersea Dogs Home in retraining rescue dogs and also specialises in training dogs for competitions and modelling assignments for print and TV media.

DOG : Cookie

AGE: 18 Months

BREED: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

BACKGROUND: Cookie was originally found on a beach by a member of the public but wasn’t claimed so was brought into the Dogs Trust centre at Bridgend (Wales) as a stray.

PERSONALITY: She looks a bit serious at first glance, but this is no tough Cookie in real life she’s a real softie when you meet her. She's very friendly with people, and though she can be a little shy at first she’s not nervous. She gets on well with other dogs both male and female.

Cookie is fine on the lead, but doesn't seem to have had much basic training - however she is well behaved and nice to handle. She seems to have a lovely genuine nature. While she is an active young dog, she's not head strong and boisterous like some Staffies can be. She's just a great all-round dog and hard to fault in any way!

LIKES: Cuddles, cuddles and … cuddles!
