Jill set to waltz off in dress. Eastenders star Jill Halfpenny has warned she'll waltz off with her stunning ballgown after last night's Strictly Come Dancing finale.
BBC bosses have refused to let the celebrities take home their hand-made dresses. But Jill, 29, and the other female stars have fallen in love with their glitzy gowns and begged to keep them. The dresses are destined to gather mothballs. Jill, who partnered Darren Bennet, said: "It was one of the best parts of the show. "The dressmakers came with hundreds of designs and fabric samples in different colours. I felt like a child in a sweetshop as they let us pick our favourites. But they'll not let me keep any. I might have to sneak one out. "I'll miss having the dress delivered every week. My mam said 'Oh Wow' when she first saw me come out in my gown - she burst into tears." Millions of viewers watched last night's nail-biting dance- off where Jill, Denise Lewis and Julian Clary fought to be crowned dancing Queen at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Jill is now looking forward to putting her feet up. She said trying to learn the gruelling dance steps each week drove her crazy. But she added: "I don't know what I'll do with myself now it's over. "Every Saturday it's been like going out with my mates and getting dressed up in all our glitter and sequins. It has taken over my life but I loved every minute." Source |
