Bruce Forsyth has won the nearest-the-pin competition at the All-Star Cup in Wales.
Bruce Forsyth, the most senior competitor in the celebrity golf tournament at 78, pipped the whippersnappers on the European and American teams to land his ball within nine feet of the hole.
The Strictly Come Dancing presenter picked up a diamond pendant worth £10,000 for his efforts, at the event in the Celtic Manor Resort near Newport, south Wales.
The star intends to donate the prize to his chosen charity.
Rather modestly, he said: "It was just a lucky shot. It was from about 100 yards and I was around eight foot short ...it was a lucky shot really."
A gushing Chris Evans said: "The guy plays off a 12 - he can play. Old guys play golf a lot and they play well."
Hollywood actor William Baldwin was a little less impressed with the winning shot, comparing it to an "ice hockey slap shot."
The competition pits Europe against America and features the likes of Ronan Keating, James Nesbitt, Alice Cooper and Dallas star Patrick Duffy.
Last year's inaugural event saw the European team pip their American counterparts in a thrilling finish.
A practice session and a gala dinner take place today and the two-day long competition kicks off tomorrow.
