Martin for Erin?
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 10 June 2004
We find out if a kiss is just a kiss. With accusations flying that it was all a publicity stunt, Martin and Erin talked to Justin about that kiss, pictured in The Mirror.

Martin sat down on Justin's sofa and promptly kissed Erin.

"You see, it's a harmless kiss, isn't it?" he said.

"We are really close, we are good friends, but you can't dictate what papers do."

But far from being angry about the newspaper piece, Martin said he was grateful:

"I'm thankful they put our number on the bottom. We are the underdogs in this competition and at the end of the day we can't have too much help.ú

Martin is surprised he's still in the competition, but he denied he had used underhand tactics to stay in the game.

"We must have great support out there," he explained. "Thanks for that support and keep on voting for me to stay in the competition, because I'm really enjoying myself!"

"I think that Martin surprises us every week," added Erin. "He goes out there and does a great performance and I think the viewers love him."

Erin revealed that despite having to learn both the Samba and the Viennese Waltz this week, the pressure isn't really on as they have been learning the Viennese Waltz since week one.

And Martin confirmed that if he had been voted off last week, his money would have been on Christopher Parker to win, because of his EastEnders-related public support.
