What were people searching for online in 2005? Well, news, celebrity gossip and information on reality TV shows of course.
Topping the list for the most searched for teams in Yahoo Search were: food dye Sudan 1, the iPod Nano, anti-terror site We are not afraid, followed closely by hurricanes Wilma, Rita, Emily, Katrina and Dennis. In the TV category, reality TV took six of the top 10 slots, with Hell's Kitchen and Strictly Come Dancing proving popular. Non-traditional celebrities and home-grown talent were more popular than US superstars, with Kinga, Javine, Richard Whitely and Jamie Oliver all heavily searched for.
