Review by of Strictly Come Dancing (22nd October 2005)

Our journey started at 9, we drove to the station and we caught the train at 9:58. We arrived in London at Waterloo at about 1. We decided to get the underground straight to White City where BBC Television centre is. When the underground came out of the tunnel and you could see the BBC- that was when it really hit home that I was actually there! Very exciting!

We then went for a coffee because we were very early and my mum's feet hurt!

At about three, we went and joined the queue to get in. We met some really lovely people in the queue and we talked to then. One group of people went to six shows last year! The queuing time seemed to go really quickly and before we knew it, the doors were open!

Then we had our tickets numbered to say that we would definitely get in. Ours were number 38, 39 and 40.

We were then lead through into the waiting area where we sat for about 45 minutes until we were called into the studio. When we first walked into the studio, I was really surprised because it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. We were shown to our seats, ours were on the front row of the balcony.
We had a warm up where we had to shout out different things and then Bruce came out and sung to us!

About ten minutes before the show went live, the judges came and sat down and Tess came and said hello.

The show began and we were all told to clap along to the theme music. The dancers were introduced and I got very excited because Brendan was standing there in front of me!

Then all the couples danced. I cheered very loudly when Fiona and Brendan finished and booed very loudly when they got a 1!

Then there was a break between the two shows. We were given ten minutes to stand up and stretch our legs then we had to be back for the recoding of the live act. During this time, the dancers stayed on the floor and I shouted out to Brendan and I got blown a kiss!

Then Westlife came out and sung and Darren and Lilia danced. The first time, they decided that the camera angle wasn't right so they had to record it again.
The pros were then given their chance to shine! Their jive was practiced and all went well apart from Brendan and Karen not coming back on at the end! But it was sorted.

Next, was a dress rehearsal of the results show. In the mock vote out, Patsy and Anton were eliminated and Patsy in true EastEnders style blamed in all on Anton and instead of a last dance, they had a stage fight! Very entertaining!

We were then given another break before the second live show was on air.

The results were announced, when Fiona and Brendan got through there was a kind of squeal. I am very proud to say that that was me! The show finished with Jaye and Andrew having their last dance together.

My mum and I went down onto the dance floor and the first thing I did was run to meet Brendan! I talked to him for about 10 minutes and I got two kisses a really lovely autograph and a picture! I couldn't believe I had just met him and my dream had just come true! I was over the moon at this point! We then met Erin but I was still on a high from Brendan! Next, we met Anton who was lovely and my mum fell in love with him! We then met Ian and we couldn't believe how tall he was! Then we met Darren who was really short compared to Ian but he was lovely. Then we spotted Fiona so we went over an told her that we were voting for her and we thought she was doing fantastically. Finally, we met Colin Jackson who was also very short! But he was very nice and very happy after his result!
Unfortunately, after that we had to leave and go home! As soon as we got outside, I wanted to go back in! We got the tube back to Waterloo and then the train back to my home. We arrived home at 1 am. It was a long journey and I was very tired at the end of it, but it was definitely worth it! I had the best night of my life and my dream of meeting Brendan came true!
