Irish dancer Gavin taught novice Gail in just eight weeks to win BBC1's Dance Factory.
STAR performers Gavin Boyle and Claire Johnstone proved they're a dancing dream team by winning the children's version of Strictly Come Dancing.
The duo from Neilston in Renfrewshire beat competition from hip hop, pop and tap dancing couples to clinch BBC One's Dance Factory title on Saturday in Birmingham.
The public voted their Irish routine to Missy Elliot track, Pass That Dutch, the best and gave Gavin and Claire, the only Scottish finalists, a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York.
Gavin, 16, and Claire, 12, met just eight weeks ago. Producers paired them for the hit show which was fronted by Celebrity Fame Academy star Reggie Yates.
Gavin who is Scotland's number one Irish dancer and ranked 5th in the world was chosen by series bosses to turn trombone player Claire into a Irish dancing star in weeks.
In between rehearsals they visited Dublin where Riverdance star Michael Pat Gallagher offered advice and presented the duo with traditional Irish dress for the contest.
Gavin said today: "It was an absolutely fantastic experience.
"We were completely and utterly shocked to win."
